Privacy Policy
Effective July 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Church on Jefferson Event Venue (201 E Jefferson Street, Franklin, Indiana 46131) collects, uses, and protects the information you share with us when you use our website or submit one of our forms. By using our site, you agree to the practices described below. This policy is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.
Information we collect
We collect only the information you choose to give us through our contact form and our Venue & Pricing Guide request form. Depending on the form, that may include your name, email address, phone number, event date and time, event type, guest count, your message, and the preferred tour days and times you suggest. We do not ask for, or store, payment card numbers or other sensitive financial information through this website.
How we use your information
We use the details you provide to:
- Respond to your inquiry and answer your questions.
- Plan and coordinate your event or private tour.
- Send you the Venue & Pricing Guide when you request it.
- Follow up with you about a tour, availability, or booking.
Cookies and tracking technologies
Functional cookies (first-party). When you submit a form, we set a signed identity cookie (coj.id) so we can pre-fill your details across our forms on a later visit, and a security cookie (coj.csrf) that protects our forms against cross-site request forgery. These are essential to how the forms work.
Advertising and analytics. To reach couples and event hosts who may be interested in our venue, we use the Meta Pixel (also called the Facebook Pixel), an advertising technology from Meta Platforms, Inc. The Pixel sets cookies and collects limited activity data, such as the pages you view and when you submit an inquiry, and shares that data with Meta so we can measure how our ads perform and show relevant ads to you and to similar audiences on Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta services. The Pixel does not receive the contents of your messages or your form message text. You have choices: adjust your browser cookie settings, review your Meta ad preferences and off-Meta activity settings in your Facebook or Instagram account, or use your browser Do Not Track or opt-out signals. Where we offer a cookie-consent choice, advertising cookies load only after you consent.
Text messaging (SMS)
If you opt in by checking the text-messaging consent box on one of our forms, we may send you text messages (for example, tour reminders and follow-ups about your inquiry) at the phone number you provide. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, and reply HELP for help. Consenting to text messages is optional and is not a condition of any service, tour, or booking. If you do not opt in, we will not text you.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent the details you submit through our forms (your name, email, phone, event details, or message). We share that information only with the service providers who help us operate our business (for example, our email delivery provider), as needed to provide the services you requested and under an obligation of confidentiality, or if required by law. Separately, the advertising technology described under Cookies and tracking technologies above shares limited website-activity data (such as pages viewed and inquiry submissions, never the contents of your inquiry) with Meta for advertising and measurement. Some privacy laws may treat that ad-related sharing as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information; you can opt out using the controls described in that section.
Data retention
We keep the information you submit for as long as we need it to respond to you, coordinate your event, and maintain our business records. You may ask us to delete your information at any time by contacting us using the details below.
Your choices
- Opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us.
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of the information we hold about you.
- Reach us with any privacy question using the contact details below, or through our contact page.
